How will this work

Through an expanded BuildLifeHouse web app, the community will suggest and vote on projects that improve local spaces or support those in need. Men will sign up as volunteer delivery members, working side by side each month to bring the winning ideas to life. In doing so, they build camaraderie, confidence, and a renewed sense of usefulness—key protective factors for mental wellbeing.
The initial pilot will run for six months in a local area, creating measurable improvements for both participants and the wider community. Once successful, this initiative can be rolled out across the UK.
This proposal is about more than tasks. It’s about restoring purpose, strengthening relationships, and proving that when men build together, communities grow stronger

Our Community Mission
BuildLifeHouse CIC is seeking to launch an innovative community initiative that supports men’s mental fitness through action, purpose, and connection. Rather than relying solely on traditional talking-based support, this project brings men together to complete meaningful, community-voted tasks—chosen by local residents, delivered by local men.
