For too long men are seen as either delivering, or failing. Either you’re adding value, or you’re not. But life is far more complicated than that. The pressure to stay in that first category can become overwhelming, and despite our best efforts, life can be tough. When we start to feel like we’re not contributing or measuring up, it can quickly spiral into guilt, inadequacy, and low self-worth. And if we don’t address these feelings, we may start looking for ways to escape—sometimes through destructive choices like addiction, isolation, or self-sabotage

The numbers don’t lie:

  • Men account for the vast majority of suicides.

  • Men make up most of the homeless.

  • Men are over represented in prison.

  • Men are far less likely to be honest about their mental health struggles.

And yet, despite all this, when the tough times arrive men are expected to just “man up” and keep moving. But real strength isn’t about suffering in silence. It’s about standing tall, especially in the eye of the storm.

At BuildLifeHouse, we don’t weaken men—we build them. Build A House

Go all in! The House Plan is for men ready to build something bigger — not just survive, but lead their own life with clarity and strength. Over 16 online sessions (45 minutes each), we’ll build on the five core skills and add six more powerful tools, from goal-setting to mastering adversity. You’ll walk away with a full second "floor" to your life: a structure that can stand tall through any storm. If you're serious about becoming the man you know you can be, this is your time.

Build Life House has been the saviour for my mental health!

 

The challenges really helped me start off on the right track and the coaching from Darren has been exceptional! The main challenge ‘Build My House’ really helped me open my mind to escaping the dark hole which I never thought I would escape. Whilst I was in that position I truly felt it was never going to end, but by taking baby steps it has gradually got easier and I am now in a much better place.
